On a scale of one to Bono,

I’m an activist!

The counter rally (of a Tea Party rally) went really well! But I also just like yelling at things lately. Some huge guy lookin all suit wearing and intimidating brought up his props daughters in their sunday finest to explain my sign…

I’m not afraid of you. I worry about your kids. I hope, for irony’s sake, that our tax dollars contribute to their inevitable future need for psychotherapy. I’ve got nothin but love!

On a scale of one to Steve Martin,

I swear to god I used to be funny!

Was I supposed to capitalize “god?”

I put the punctuation inside the quotation, APA style, Byatch

On a scale of one to Nike,

On a scale of one to feminism (?),

Sometimes my apathy towards yogurt/ the infrequency with which I discuss the side effects of birth control makes me feel like less of a woman.

Is that sad? Weird? A reflection on advertisement and how far we’ve come. It’s better than Arizona as a concept, anyhow…

On a scale of one to stabbing inanimate objects,

I do not think I have ever been as angry at another human being as I was at this stupid fucking router.

My roommate finally defeated the bastard! I may now facebook stalk the shit out of all’s y’all without being plugged into a modem. Thanks roomiecakes!

On a scale of one to substantially less exciting than finding money in your pockets that you forgot about:

finding half a can of diet coke that you forgot about

So now I have half a can of warmish diet coke. Disappointing.

On a scale of one to soulmates,

I told Paige, “if I were a neural structure, I’d be area postrema.” And she laughed.

It takes a very special sort of person to appreciate how much of a nerd/weirdo I am.

On a scale of one to I'm starting to notice a pattern here,

I wonder if I could make studying into a drinking game…

Four midterms and two interviews to go before the end of next week. I’m most worried for my guitar midterm; go figure. I am amazingly bad at guitar.

On a scale of one to Kelly Clarkson,

Some people waaaait a lifetiiiimeee for a moooment like thiiisssss!

Okay, I know I keep talking way too much about the Punch Brothers. I am obsessed, forgive me. BUT we made t-shirts for their concert last Friday (my favorite said “Noam has the voice of an angel” on the front and “please don’t shoot me” on the back), and then after the show they were in the lobby doing autographs…and Chris Thile hugged me, and we got a picture with Pickles, and Paul hummed “Set Me Up With One of Your Friends,” which I’m pretty sure counts as talking for him…And basically I died and went to heaven.

On a scale of one to Bailey/I Know You Know,

I can’t tell if I don’t like “Who’s Feeling Young Now?” or if it’s just impossible to follow an act like Antifogmatic or Punch!.

I really, really want to like it! I like “Movement and Location,” “This Girl,” and “Patchwork Girlfriend,” but there is nothing on this album that even approximates “Bailey/I Know You Know” or “Missy”…Or all of “The Blind Leaving the Blind.” Maybe my standards are too high? What do you think?

On a scale of one to kind of depressing,

just watched a woman spend $20 on lottery tickets…

So, one of my teachers said that lottery tickets are a tax on people who don’t understand statistics. But it’s still kind of depressing to see how much money people waste on them. Granted, I’m assuming that this person actually needs whatever money she’s spending. Still, that’s like enough money for four margaritas at Zuma. And yes, that is how I measure currency.

On a scale of one to hippo,

Today’s weigh in is gonna SUCK!

Stupid Super Bowl. Also, my mom called me fat a bunch of times over break, so I am spending her money on Weight Watchers, and feeling no guilt. Not that I am capable of feeling guilt.

On a scale of one to What is my life,

I’m wearing blue eyeshadow right now.

Sure, I mixed it with gray, and, maybe I’m lying to myself, but it doesn’t really look blue…but it’s like I can feel the skankness. Soon I will start smoking newports and wearing tube tops. Nobody wants that.

On a scale of one to Gloria Gaynor,

I survived the suburbs!

I am back in Boston where I belong, after a long stay back with my parents. No more boredom with bars that are empty on weekdays with last calls at 10pm, no more having to eat off of plates (also no more free food, but oh well). It’s good to be back, is what I’m saying.

On a scale of one to whoever names Canadian hockey teams,

I am seriously lacking creativity right now.

Too lazy to play my guitar. Too lazy to buy art supplies. Too lazy to do a proper tumbler update. But seriously, Canucks? Canadiens? Maple Leafs? We need an American hockey team called The Hamburgers, clearly.

On a scale of one to Joan Collins,

Gin is fabulous, isn’t it?

Redeeming aspect of temporarily living with my parents? Higher quality alcohol. Also, I know next to nothing about Joan Collins, but when I google imaged her, she looked classy as shit. In a flamboyant way.

On a scale of one to that skinny blonde guy on Criminal Minds,

I am, like, a super mega genius!

Which is to say, I got a 3.93 GPA for the semester. And you caught me, I totally know the name of the character (Spencer Reid!) and the actor (Matthew Gray Gubler) on Criminal Minds. But the point is that I’m brilliant and passed all my classes. Go me.
